Mission Statement

Dr. Alters believes that with careful assessment, implementation of appropriate accommodations, and effective treatment, any child can learn, and any adult can thrive. It is our mission to help both children and adults realize their potential. Dennis B. Alters, MD, Inc., is a multi-disciplinary practice that specializes in identifying and treating attentional disorders, learning disabilities, and emotional disorders.

In addition to psychiatric treatment and therapy, we also provide a variety of services to help ensure adults and children receive appropriate accommodations in school and in the workplace, including psychiatric and psychological evaluations, and educational advocacy. Through evaluation and assessment, we are able to document relevant disabilities, which can be helpful for the IEP process, 504 Plans, as well as wrongful termination litigation.
